Hi, I would like some help choosing a new scope. I have a Ruger 77/22. I want to put a 3x9x40 w/AO or 4x12x40 w/AO. I am partial to Bushnell. What(besides price) is the difference between the 4x12x40 Dusk/Dawn and the 4x12x40 Trophy? Also how do these compare to the Simmons 4x12x40 Pro Air that I have read @ on this forum? My price range will be @ $200-$250. This rifle will be used mostly forhunting . Any other suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi; I studied the same thing for one of my hunting 22lr and ordered a Weaver Classic Rimfire 3x9x32mm W/AO. I have not received it yet because I'm wanting to wait until after the 22nd of Jan.' 06 in order to miss the cut off date for my credit card. This can be at your door step for no more than $200.00 if your in the U.S. The glass is somewhere between 90-92 percent light transmission, and parallax adjusts down to around 10 meters. Looks like a nice scope for the money. Made in Japan. I'd guess that they are just as good or better than Leupold VX-II. |

I use a Bushnell 4-12x40 Elite 3200 on my 77/22 magand have been very happy with it. However I've been looking at the Nikon 4.5-14x40 Buckmaster for an upgrade.
