I have a Burris Select 2-8X that I was given in trade.
I'm considering mounting it on a Model 70 Featherweight in .270, but it looks like the eye relief will be limited because the distance from the objective to the turret is pretty short.
Any info on the quality of this scope?
I'm trying to detrmine if it's a "keeper" or if it it's better mounted on a loaner rifle.
Thanks in advance.

I have a Burris Signature 2-8x. Objective is about 36mm. Had it for years, been a great scope. Definately a keeper in my opinion.
There is not much flexibility as far as mounting position, but mine has been on a long-action Winchester and a short-action Remington, with no problems. I used to notice that it was a little critical regarding eye relief and eye position, but I must have gotten used to it. Don't think about it any more. |

Thanks for your response, that's the same scope (36mm Objective).
I tend to be a "stock crawler" so I may mount this on a .308 BAR.
