swfa has the leupold "ar 6x18x40" for sale and the leupold site only lists the 1.5x4x20 and the 3x9x40...zp...

This is the same scope minus the knob with drops marks on it. IT should give you all the specs you need though.

i don't have an ar rifle...would the 223 calibrated reticle be that far off if i mounted it on a 20" heavy barrel on the 700ltr and shot 55gr...i will be loading my own sooner or later and i imagine i can dial it in with powder...zp...

It would be off some because of the height difference of the scope to the bore on the two different rifles. I just ran the number quickly on exbal.
At 2000 ft elevation 78%humity, 59 degree, 55 grain fmj bullet going 3240. On ar rifle is would drop about 42 inches at 500 yards. On the bolt gun about 48 inches. At 300 yards 7.5 on the AR and 10.5 on the bolt gun. So that is enough that it could cause misses on small game. That is the problem with calibrated scopes.
