Dunno, original poster bugged out awhile back.

Wes, I know plenty Marines can't hit squat at 500 yards, they wear "pizza boxes" on their chests.  BUT, those pizza boxes are flanked by 2 Marine Corps emblems, which means if they can't shoot for sh*t, they can still beat your ass with anything in the AO, or call in fire that can ruin any day.

Freedom is something you take.
Respect is something you earn.
Equality is something you whine about not being given.

This looks like the perfect opportunity to agree with you. :)

This is how every Marine should be adorned. My son has shot expert at both pistols and rifles all of his quals... I'm so proud!

Although my son is most likely to bore someone to death with politeness, he will always have a plan to bring about the real thing, thanks to the training of the Corps.

To respond to the OP... I just purchased the SS 20X42 for my long range shooter. It does have better glass than the costlier Leupold that it replaced. I actually bought it for the accolades everyone gives it for its faultless ability to track and return to zero.

I'll post some results as soon as it warms up a bit.

http://www.samplelist.com/Zeiss-45-14x50-Conquest-Rifle-Scope-DEMO-B-P1553.aspx  If you really want to get to 1000 Zeiss has an interesting way of doing that by the design of the Z1000 reticle where the center X is 500 yds and closer ranges are above center.  You can do similar with other scopes:
Take the same thought process and realize that you can zero at say 600 yds  and dial in correction from there.
