HI guys I am new to the forum and am looking for some help. I would like to purchase a new rifle scope. Dont mind spending money on the scope, but no more than $1500.00 dollars.  I  have one rifle and want one great scope to go with it.  Looking for 30mm tube for low light conditions with good glass. Must be waterproof, fogproof and able to withstand a little abuse. I hunt the swamp. In case it matters, I will be mounting the scope on a 30.06.
Thanks in advance guys.

if the trijicon accu-point take as much abuse as the ACOG then i say go for that. Trijicon has good glass and i love their reticles....also have built in bdc for 223 and 7.62 on some models.

From the sample list (www.samplelist.com - which is a part of SWFA, our gracious host)

10289 Zeiss 2.5-10x50 Diavari VM/V 5216719904, Matte finish, #4 reticle, 30mm tube, fast focus eye piece, light ring marks, lifetime transferable warranty. $1,895.00 $1,299.95

I am a fan of Trijicon, it is a great scope, but not in the same class with Victory Diavari.

If you are willing to drop the cash, I'd get the Zeiss, it is brighter, better glass, very durable, and the Lotutec coating is fantastic.

It would go nicely on your 30-06.

Another great option would be a Swaro Z6, also great glass (no Lotutec coating)

10455 Swarovski 1.7-10x42 Z6 59213, Matte finish, #4A reticle, 30mm tube, fast focus eye piece, reseatable windage and elevation, like new condition $2,032.00 $1,399.95

There are several really great scopes in that price range, the tough choice if figuring out which one is exactly what you want.

Good luck with that!
