looking to get a heavy barrel .243 bolt for around 500 dollars!!! any ideas? im just looking for a starter gun for some long range shooting out to 500 yards!! i deff want to stay with a .243 i need a new project!! iv already done a .308 and a 7mm mag. any ideas where to start???

 Start with model 10 savage or a stevens 200 and go from there. Both are easily made into switch barrels, and are accurate out of the box.

You could also get a Howa barrel and action for around that price then find a stock that you like to fit that barrel and action and when you put the stock you picked out with the barrel and action you will already have a start on a custom gun
