my brother in law told me yesterday that he got himself a 444 marlin, have any of you guys reloaded for one? any info would be nice, i looked at my manuals and got a general idea of what i need. whats working for you in yours??

I don't have a 444 Marlin, but I was thinking of getting one. I've heard that most 44 caliber bullets are made for the 44 mag, and if I was gonna load for one I'd use these bullets. I guess it does matter what game you're taking, though.

I would just buy the 265 grain lever evolution bullets and stick with those. They are so so much better than any of the flat nose bullets. They are a little more expensive but very much worth it.
Once I stated shooting those in my 45-70 it raised my 100 yard POI by 8 inches, over some hot 300 grain flatpoints. |

Hunter, this is what I'm using: 300gr Seirra's over 51 gr. of H335. Just remember that if you choose the lever evolution bullets the brass is shorter than the standard .444 cases, this may effect you if you reload.
