So what is everyone's opinion on these and will they return to zero when taken off and back on?

I use em on two of my 700's and they are strong and repeatable.

They are strong and work fine. I have a set and they returned to with 1/2 inch of previous zero at 100 yds.
I have not removed mine for a while now. Not sure what the life-span would be with continual removable and return.

If you put a dab of high-pressure grease on the cam surfaces, they should last a very long time, and they can be staked with a center-punch if they ever did get noticibly loose.
Same with the stud on the rotary-dovetail systems. Easy to fix an old, loose one.
