Multiple votes allowed, look forward to seeing what you guys like the most and why.

Why do you prefer the reticles you chose?  Would you like it illuminated, non-illuminated, or don't care either way?

I think reticles are very interesting and one of the most important parts of the scope.  They connect you with the target.  If you have all other parts of the system ready to go and selected to perfection, not having the proper reticle can tear it all down when it's game-time.

I've chosen Improved Mil-Dot and Horus Vision for long-range applications.  German #4 and Trijicon Post for all-around hunting in varied light conditions.

All of them brother R.C. Smile

I think it'll be good for people like me with less scope experience to know what you guys feel works best for you after trying different reticles throughout the years.

I like many of them, but also like the Rapid Reticles by PFI.

I read a little about them before...

I actually think they designed a better reticle for the Zeiss team then the ones they use in their own scopes.  I think I saw a large company bought them recently and they are going to try to promote them more.

Thanks for the votes so far...

I didn't even think of having Red Dot on the list...

martin3175, I like the old school basic Plex reticle best for short range targets/small-game.  I think it's mostly because I shot .22's and air-guns with them so much while growing up it's second nature.  Don't know if that might have been different though had I even known about the #4 reticle at the time.

We ate a lot of squirrels and rabbits from using those rifles and the plex reticle but there definitely was times I can remember that it was difficult in the evening (after normal hunting hours and in city limits Bucky ).  Even as kids you kind of figure out how to use a basic plex as a ballistic reticle also....I think it definitely has its place.
