hey everyone,
just got my new issue of shooting time for the month of dec. and jan. the cover story about this new savage 111 long range hunter is awesome. i own and other savage 111 and you cant beat the accuracy. i cant find anything else on the net about this rifle!!! i no it wont be out for awhile but i want to do some more research. anyone got any idea where to find stuff on it. it is show cased in 6.5-284 norma but it says it will be out in many other popular calibers aswell. i want to find out what other calibers and when it will be availible.  its got a fluted barrel, twist on muzzle break, oversized bolt handle, drop out mag. and a ajustable cheek rest. all for the MSRP of $664.

i just got to have it
anyone got any info? would love to hear about it.
hope to hear some feedback soon

I haven't read the article yet, but if you go to www.savagefirearms.com and then go to the law enforcement section I believe there is a very similar model. I think they also make a similar model in the model 12 series but not sure, I know they do list a similar model though. One of them is in 25-06 and 300.
If you really want to own one call their custom shop or get in touch with Jim Briggs at northland shooter supply he is probably your best bet when it comes to Savage products.

I just saw this part of your post, if this is the case Northland shooters supply is the place to go.
You can find him on savage shooters he is a sponsor, or pm me and I'll be happy to give you his phone number.

Some what, it is more like a place for special orders. Call the 800# then ext.6 and ask for Effie, she will tell you exactly what you can order through your dealer.
Or just buy a savage and start switching barrels like so many others do.
