This morning I decided to sneak off to the range. It was a perfect day with a light wind head on.
I set up 8 inch diameter gongs at 350m, 300m, 250 m and 200 m. I also put up a paper target at 300 yds to see where I am printing. All shots were prone, front rest only.
At 300yds I shot a nice group, but a bit right. I went 3 clicks left and "BAM" in the money. I stopped right there, before I spoiled a good target!!!!!!
Then I went to work on the gongs.
I set my scope on 20X and left it there. At 200yds, first reticule down and hit the gong. At 250m, first reticule on top of gong and down that went. At 300yds, second reticule dead center and another gong bit the dust. The 350, aiming midway between second and third reticule and bam, that one went down. Or should I say they all swung as they are on chains.
From there I practised some breathing shooting, that is to shoot after I have exhaled.
I never missed a gong. So I left the range a happy chappy indeed.

On the target I was particularly happy with the low height spread.

Good shooting "8", it looks as if all the hard work you've been putting in is paying off.

Good shooting 8! Glad to dee White Wilma working out for you.
Now that the Knob Creek MG shoot has come and gone for 6 months, I'm looking forward to taking the 308, and 300 Win Mag out and doing some similar practice.
Thanks for the inspiration.

Nice 8's.  Some fine shooting.

350 meters is a pretty fair poke. Nice shooting 8.
