I have a Model 70 300 win mag and I was trying to find a good scope that will be able to hold up to the kick for a while I've been looking at the bushnell 4200 and the burris fullfield II tactical and the fullfield II tac30 im looking to spend around $400 or $500 and my longest shot will be around 500 yards

It might not be right for you but I'm about to pull the trigger on a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 after a loooong time of research.

Compare its features more with the 4200 than the Fullfield 2 (a Nikon Buckmaster has better optics than a Fullfield 2 and is cheaper for a long range model).

To get a 4200 that is comparable to the Viper 6.5-20 you have to get the $600 one.  Instead of the Viper that has the rebate for $50 and equal optics.

All reports have Vipers standing up to high recoil, even a few .50 cal shooters.  On top of that you have the Craftsman tools type of warranty so you can feel confident.

It is, for long range speciality.  At 100 yards with the 6.2 feet apparent field of view you can fit a person in the scope just barely, frustrating if the target was moving....at 50 yards anything would be pretty difficult and frustrating since now you only got 3 feet in your sights.

I think the 20x would be more for very long range hunting/tactical or strictly paper/steel targets at whatever range.

10x scope with more than double the field of view would be more tactical and efficient.

Mine as held up very well ! (about 300 rounds of .300wsm so far) I would recommend the 10x though. The exit pupil on the 20x (obj. size/mag. or 42/20=2.1mm) results in pretty poor low light use. My 10x as seen some pretty hard use, due to some rings that didn't hold but that's another story!and has held up well.
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

The SuperSnipers are very durable, rated to .50-caliber abuse.

And SWFA backs them fully.

Better than the 20x not as good as the 10x.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

+1 I'm working on a new build myself that will probably get one of these.

I have been using a SS 16X on both a 300 Ultr Mag and a 300WSM for several years now.  The SS has held up to everything without fail.

Barska is junk, no matter what they claim.  That has been proven time and time again.
