Awsome...pics!!!! So a Finnwolf proto in 7mm-08...NICE .....See that is another cartridge that if Winchester or Savage brought back an 88 or 99 could be chambered in. I think that one in .338 Federal would be a fantasic rifle.
THANKS FOR THE PICS = Beautiful guns

Browning's BLR in .308 is an outstanding lever action rifle. It's handy, it's pretty, it's comfortable to shoot, and the .308 is an excellent caliber for most big game hunting.
The trigger usually needs work, but the two we've owned were good for 1 1/2 inch groups.
The new take-down version would be very tempting, if I were in the market for a new rifle. I've found that traveling with a take-down shotgun in a compact case is a lot handier than traveling with a full-length rifle in a full-length rifle case. It also attracts less attention.

Longhunter: I agree with you on the .308. I have the Savage 99 in .308 and I think it's a very efficient round that will take about anything in the lower 48 with good shot placement.
I am supprised Browning does not advertise the BLR more. I see all kinds of stuff for their bolt guns. I would much rather have a new Browning BLR in .308 then the new Marlin ( and I love Marlins) in .308 Marlin because with that round your stuck to only the flex tip Hornady. I have some of those for my .45/70 and they are impressive but I also like a bit of variety and the old Savage allows me to do that same as a BLR since your not bound by a tube magazine.
