I have an old Kollmorgan Bearcub 4 power. I have used this scope on many heavy recoiling guns, a 338 Win Mag for testing only, many years on a 12 ga. slug gun shooting the highest powered premium sabots, and on a .54 caliber muzzleloader, lightweight Knight that kicks like crazy. This scope just keeps going. Am I just lucky, or were they all that good? Is it true that this was the forerunner to the old Redfield Bearcub, and if so are they identical quality wise to the Kollmorgan? I am always interested in a few older scopes to put on vintage rifles, like my 721 Remington I just acquired. Thanks. |

Not sure if they were the predacessor to the Redfield or not but these guys would probably know and they might even have some to sell.
