Here I go with another question.
I received my SS 20x42 the other day and was going to save it for my new 10fp 7mm but I couldn't stand it anymore so I mounted it on my 308-10fp and will have it out on the range 9/09. wish me luck.
Now for the question has anyone tried or reviewed the new Trijicon 5-20 with the triangle post?
If so how are they? Are they just plain hold over and hope or moa adjaustable? I know there are probably better scopes out there but kind of intrigued with this reticle and like the power range(old eyes).
Over the past 3 weeks I have spent an awful lot of time reading on this forum and have come to like the fact that most responses are no BS and NO BASHING of products unlike some others. The knowledge of optics is really pretty amazing and Mr. Farris's input on certain posts really helps clear up confusion.
Thanks in advance for your help and I'm sure there will be more ?

I have a 3-9 and 2.5-10 Trijicon with the triangle reticle - and like them allot.  They are not "hold-over" reticles in the traditional sense; however, I use the top point of the triangle as an aiming point and use the mid- and bottom as additional points, but they ain't as precise.

U-friend had a 5-20 but had a reticle issue and sent it back, he is now struggling with the desire to buy another - and will eventually have one.

The reticle is great for quick target acquisition.  It isn't as good for punching paper, but it is designed to be a hunting scope.

The glass is good for the price, the self-illuminating reticle is fantastic for low-light hunting.

I really, really like these scopes!  But have no experience with the 5-20X.

I basicly want something for long and short ranges, that can be used for target and /or hunting.Priced affordably.
I am even considering another SS in 16x, but wish they had different style reticles.

Sounds like the Bushnell 6500 2.5-16x with large knobs might be just your ticket.

I have the scope mentioned by Tool, for the very reason you need. If you would like some more input on this scope search Koshkins review.  It a good do-all scope.
