just got a used 30-06 for my grandson and it has a weaver classic 400 scope on it, trouble is I can't find any power info on it. Anyone have any info on where to find any onformation on this scope? Thanks

Just spotted this............
Weaver Classic 400 is a 4X scope made from 1970 to 1973. It was Weaver's first ever alloy scope that they introduced in the early seventies. I don't know why they discontinued it....I guess they didn't sell....they cost 33% more than the regular Weaver Line-Up.
Weaver had a Weaver Classic 300 ( 3X)
.......a Classic 400 ( 4X)
.......a Classic 600 ( 6X)
.......a Classic V700 ( 2X7)
.......a Classic V900 ( 3X9)
