 I don't know if the current ones are any different, but my brother put one on his Remington 700 (Left-Hand) in .30-06, about ten or fifteen years ago.
 He mixed up a little Acra-Glas, dropped it in, let it cure, trimmed the ooze-out off, spray painted it Krylon flat black and kills EVERYTHING he shoots at with it.
 It fits him well and is much more solid  and ridgid than most other lower-end aftermarket glass stocks, but it is quite a little heavier as well.

He loves it.

HW;
 Have you ever considered a thumbhole laminate stock?
 I have this rifle in both 223 & 308 and both are in the LRV stocks from Stocky's they were both pretty much drop ins, very little sanding of the barrel chanel. I also bought the pillars from them about $10 and epoxied them in.
 Both of these are pretty much one holers @100 but as of right now I don;t have access to anything further but hope to in the near future.
 I also just ordered a 7mm in this configuration and back ordered the thumbhole for a LA but it could be a 3 month wait.
 Just a thought, something else to consider.

 HW  Stocky's has the tactical medalist for $204 and the duramaxx for $87, far cry from$400.
 Sorry if I offended anyone by posting a online store other than SWFA, just trying to be helpful.
