i spent 4 hrs at a friend of mines range this morning shooting 3 of my rifles, i was doing some test loads with the H&H and this little gem appeared! i shot it off hand a couple of times as well, and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of recoil this rifle makes. i'd say its comparable to a 2 3/4" 12 gauge shell. any who here is the target.

sad part is that im not a very good rifleman, i shoot average i suppose. if i had somebody like mike shoot it i bet the groups would shrink more.
i should also add that this is a number i have been working on, i started at 69gr and shot test groups all the way up to 73gr and so far this load is the best load ive shot. ive still got about 7 groups of r-15 to load and shoot, but i may skip that until after deer season. that group above will kill any deer i will see this fall. Good shooting, Hunter! It should be fun hunting deer with that .375. You probably don't need to worry too much about the angle of the animal with it. If you point it right, I bet you'll be able to get to the boiler room from just about anywhere, ya s'pose? I managed to get out shooting this afternoon, too. Great day for it, but it was probably better in the morning before the winds kicked up.
I tested some different .22 rimfire stuff and found out that Federal Gold Medal Match will probably work pretty well on squirrels from my Remington. Good stuff.
Also shot the K-31 enough to figure out that I need a better scope on it.
Fun day, though!

Well, crap. I was close. .375 - .264 = .111 (which is half of a .22)

Nice rifle Pyro the bigest pain about .375 H&H is buying loaded ammo so reloading for it is a must.

no doubt, i havent shot a single factory round through it and i dont plan to now. brass for it isnt the cheapest either. thankfully it is in a fairly abundant supply. |

Yeah, the .375 H&H is fairly common. It's kinda like the African 30-06.

I've had some difficulty finding the brass here but I get a bag every now and then. Scheels doesnt carry it and Sportsmans is about out of business.

i can get you some in january if you want, the gunshow i go to in fargo nd has an outfit there with a ton of new brass to sell. the guy brings surplus military cans full of brand new brass for sale by the piece. i think i paid $0.67 each. this guy has pretty much everything you can think of.

Very nice. The 375 is inherently very accurate. I have seen some good groupings with this cal. A bit to much recoil though for general target use!
