I just purchased a TIkka T3 30-06 and I need a scope. I am looking for a 3x9 or 3.5x10 scope and I would like to spend $300 or less. I will be hunting deer in the southeast and most of my shots will be within 200 yards. I have been looking at the Burris Fullfield II, but I noticed several recommendations for the Weaver Grand Slam on this forum. Which would you recommend? Which scope has better light transmission and clarity? Is there another scope in this price range that you would recommend?
I saw a previous forum topic that mentioned the Nikon Monarch is better at light transmission than the Burris FF II. If so, is the difference large enough to justify the price difference? |

The Grand Slam is the best scope under $300.00 for low light hunting. The Nikon is also brighter than the Burris and comparable to the Grand Slam. The top scopes for your requirements would be: Weaver Grand Slam 3-10x40 Matte.....$249.95 |
