Weather is fabulous... it has the "feel" of fall.  Temps in mid-80's in the day mid-50's to 60's at night.  Can't ask for much better.
Opinion,untempered by fact,is ignorance.

That's pretty much been our temp range all summer except for two short lived hot spells. We had two nights in the 40's in July. But yea, summers winding down. Catydids are carrying on!!

Had a few days last week where I needed to wear a hooded sweatshirt.  Not suppose to be that cool here yet for a few months.  Did sleep well at night.

Same here! We didn't really have a summer. Had a great growing season, but no summer.

You should see the doves where I was harvesting wheat.  You go down the gravel roads and an easy hundred sitting there.  Sunflowers and dug out stock dams all over.  Prime habitat.

45 degrees here this morning.  Folklore here says that the first frost comes 6 weeks after the Catydids start which means the last week in Sept. for us.  I HOPE!!  Haven't had one that early in MANY years.

Yep, Mid 40s in balto area too.  Yesterday was fabulous weather, high of 73F!  Actually enjoyed cutting the grass last evening!  Would have rather gone to the range.  Maybe be able to do that this evening as the weather is supposed to be the same for two more days here.  I do enjoy Brisk Morns and evenings opening and closing a sunny day!

Scoot, exactly what do they mean by 'dry in the Great Lake States'?  Don't they always get a lot of lake effect snow?

Well, thats a good point.  I have no clue its just what the almanac had in it.  Usually anybody along the water gets pounded with lake effect snow.

Still hot and dry here in Cali. Need it to cool down by middle of next week, maybe a shower or two. Rudolph

Rains in the plains. In the last 24 hrs we've received more rain than in the last 3 months. Over 8". The pond was almost dry is now full again. Lost a lot of the fish.
