Maybe the IOR 4-14X50 Tactical is better? Optical quality is priority. Mostly hunting use.

I don't own a 50mm but I do own a 42mm with a 20MOA base at 2.5X I can see a barrel mirage but it's not a distraction to me. I like mine. But to each his own.

I ordered the Elite 6500 2.5-16X50mm for my 300WM primarily based on it's rating level here in this forum, but still have some doubts I still cannot resolve via the search function.
I read in another forum 1 user had significant enough barrel distortion from the low to mid zoom range he ended up returning it.
Does this scope typically suffer from this distortion to some degree and what other anomalies can I expect?
It's due to arrive late next and I'm already anticipating returning it.
