What's the difference between factory reconditioned and factory refurbished?

Concerning Nikons, I believe it's one and the same.

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Refurbished means to make new again with new parts etc.  Reconditioned means to rebuild and put into good working condition with what is already there mechanically.  There is a difference.

Which one does not have a warranty? Everything I have bought off the Samplelist has had a warranty. Some have lifetime while some like the Nikon only have 90 days. Maybe the used optics. Far from Most. Only one Scope I've purchased from the samplelist has had any problems. It had a lifetime Transferable Warranty. It was repaired and has provided good service since.
Folks ain't got a sense of humor no more. They don't laugh they just get sore.

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow
Now the rules have changed again.

You can search the forum and see where Chris Farris addressed the refurb'd Nikon deal.

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

The Nikons are 90 days (and thats a Nikon thing, not a SWFA thing).  AFAIK, Leupolds (as long as they're not a counter fit) is full lifetime warranty.
