I just thought I'd share a change. My dad left me his old beat up 10/22 and last year I dressed it up in his honor but was never 100% happy with the result. The S&K stock that I chose wasn't scope friendly and I managed to put a nick in it the 1st week. I would have saved up for their ultra grade if it had a scope friendly comb but they look like they have a profile optimized for open sights. Besides I don't think the owners of S&K are members of my fan club anymore. Wink

Well a few weeks ago I found a Revolution Trailblazer in solid walnut that I like a lot better. Like most of my walnut stocks it's the last of a discontinued product. In this case the stock isn't discontinued but they no longer offer it in walnut. The barrel is a fluted E. R. Shaw factory contour. The bolt is CT precision and the trigger work was done by Clark Custom. And finally the scope is a Weaver RV9.

That's a really nice change over. I like the way that new stock blends in so well with the action.

You definitely have it together regarding 10/22's, Steve. Nice work as always.

I think both looked excellent. I like the raised comb on the bottom, but I also like the forend on the other.

I like that insert to. It was a hard choice but the rifle was no fun to shoot with a chin weld.

I have two more 10/22 projects in the works. Probably my last two. I have plenty. One will be a benchrest build in a solid walnut Anschutz style stock. That one is on hold until I save up for a 5oz Kidd trigger group. I just bought a new handgun so that'll be months, but I may take pics of what I have so far.

The other I'll finish sooner because I have all of the pieces. It'll be a wild looking silhouette rifle in solid walnut. It'll be strange looking but should shoot great.
