How many of you like the quick focus eyepiece? When I adjust mine for a clear reticle the parallax goes south, this sucks! For someone with good vision it works good, but for me I have to suffer witha blurry reticle or a poor group. Anyone have any similar experiences?

Does your scope have a parallax adjustment?

A lot of people are under the impression that the reticle focus is also used for focusing on the target - it's not. All it's for is bringing the reticle into sharp focus. You'll need a scope with a separate parallax adjustment (adjustable objective or side focus) to bring the target into focus.

I don't have a separate parallax adjustment, It's a Burris 3-12x44 Signature Select that's really giving me fits! It shoots good with the reticle focus clear down tight and I look over my glasses to shoot. This has almost no parallax, but when it's cranked out so the reticle is clear with my glasses there is a lot of parallax. Maybe I should just look over the top of my glasses? I didn't find this out on my own, I was having fits with my rifle shooting groups to the point I took it to a smith that builds and shoots 1000 yard competitions. He couldn't make it shoot either until he checked for parallax and discovered how this worked on my scope! By cranking it all the way in tight so nothing moved he proceded to shoot a 5 shot .556 group with my 300 wby at 100yds. This also worked for me, but the reticle is fuzzy unless I look over the top of my glasses!
