I'd keep the FWT and take it hunting. That's what it's made for.  Take as best care of it as you can but if it gets dinged just mark it up as a huntin' story for the grandkids.  i haven't handled either of two rifles you mention so I have no opinions on them. I will tell you that a replacement magazine for the t3 is 70 some $.

how much you want for the 6.5x55??

you can take that 6.5x55 to a  smith and have them polish the raceways that the lugs ride on and it will make it smooth up.

I'd take (shoot) the Win Mod 70 any day. I've had (now gone) two Tikkas. The CZ's seem o.k. but I've never owned one.

I do have the Tikka T3 stainless in 6.5x55 and I enjoy hunting with it.  It shot 3/8" group with the first load I came up with.  I did not bother trying any other load.

I've owned several Tikkas and am a huge fan, very smooth out-of-the-box, very accurate.

I too am no fan of the plastic bottom "metal" or the plastic mag though, in truth, I've never had a single problem with either - and my Tikka's have been my hard-use guns.

If you want something pretty, Tikka T3 Lite is not the way to go.  If you want something reliable, accurate, and light weight, I have yet to find its equal.
Freedom is something you take.
Respect is something you earn.
Equality is something you whine about not being given.

I own both a T3 and a CZ550.  The T3 is in a 25-06 and the latter in a 458 Win. Mag., the Safari model.  Not really a good comparison.  Both rifles have their virtues.  The 550 comes in a variety of configurations, the American at 8 lbs. and the Mannlicher, which with a full stock at 7.4 lbs..  Both heavier than the Tikka.  They fall into two different camps so to speak.  I really think you need to go out and pick each one up and mount them to your shoulder, preferably with a scope on it and do it over and over again.  Look at the rifles closely, fit and finish, see if you can live with the plastic parts.  The wood on the CZs out shines the T3 Hunter by a wide margin.  I love my little T3, but it is a home as a mountain rifle, light and easy to carry, accurate and dependable.  I own several CZs and they are also great.  Then again, what is wrong with the Winchester?  A couple of hours and I guarantee I could get the action slicker than glass.

I own both Tikka and CZ rifles the Tikka is a 695 in .25-06 and the CZ is a 550 FS in 6.5x55.  I like both.  I love the single set trigger on the CZ.  It shoots sub MOA with Win. 140's, Hornady Lt. Mag. 129's and my handloaded Hornady 129 SST's.  I lke the palm swell on the Tikka and the smoothness of the action.  Much smoother than the CZ.  It took a little while to find a load it liked but, a Barnes 100g TSX BT at 3300+ has proven to be voodoo on deer and coyotes.  I don't think either rifle you mention is a bad choice.  I applaud your choice of the 6.5x55.  It is one of the all-time greats.  Easy on the shoulder and deadly on game.
