Ok, for all of you that are sick and tired of all these new and useless Ultra mag's, short mag's, compact mag's, Lazzeroni's, Improved.........etc....etc..... I've decided to take wildcating to the next level..........................

But, I need some help from the guys here in naming this new launcher. Pictured is a fresh case and a 180 gr. Nosler Partition. I'm thinking it should break the 5000 fps mark with ease. Just have to figure out how to start necking her down..............

Sorta has the potential to duplicat the German 8mm anti-tank round. It fit in a very large Mauser typw action rifle that was carried by 2 men. The cartridge looked like a 20mm case necked down to 8mm. Can't remember if it was a WWI or II arm. I believe the Russians had a similar rifle at the beginning of WWII.

With that velocity, you should get at least 10 rounds down the tube, maybe 8, before throat erosion makes rebarreling absolutely necessary.

KB with a 180gr bullet, I don't think it will have enough recoil for you.

The 1918 Mauser was one of the anti-tank rifles, but I'm almost sure they also had an 8mm rifle that had a huge case. May have been a WWII rifle, but I'm not positive.

or a 30-.500?

how about making it like an accelerator round? then you don't have to worry about barrel wear.
