    Posted: July/17/2009 at 14:32
About a week ago, I posted in a couple of threads about how my lens caps (for my Bushnell Elite 4200 2.5-10x40) apparently grew legs and walked off, and how the person I talked to at Bushnell told me he would send them to me free of charge. Well, the lens caps arrived today.

When I called Bushnell last Friday, the gentleman told me to expect the lens caps in about 10 days, today makes 8 days, but only 6 actual working days. I'm quite impressed with Bushnells customer service and quick shipping. I'm VERY appreciative of the replacement lens caps free of charge, I mean, I didn't even have to pay for the shipping.

Now, I know these lens caps aren't very expensive, (about $4.00 on their website) but I think it's a very nice gesture and speaks highly of their company. I hope they would act in the same manner for someone who is in need of an expensive repair, but I can't comment on that because this is the only time I've had to deal with their customer service.

To show my thanks to them, I thought I would share this with others. Also, since seeing is believing, I've decided to include some pictures. I did photochop my name and address for privacy reasons, but nothing else has been tampered with. Also, note the date on the postage, as well as, the price on the invoice ($.00).

Always nice to hear good news.

If it were a problem with a scope I think that they would do the right thing also.

You guys are quite welcome. After all, it's the least I can do for this forum. I've learned so much from this forum and when I see the opportunity to give a little back, I'm gonna take it. I hope to have much more to contribute over time.

The price of the caps and postage to Bushnell was dwarfed by the goodwill generated by your news and report on this forum.  I have many of their scopes and am pleased with their performance.

Nice to hear good news coming from a manufacturers CS department.  Too many times we hear only the bad news.  Personally, I would like to hear more good news about people who have a good experience.  It may offset some of the negative experience.  As shooters we gather to share our bad experiences about optics and guns.  That often gets translated into bad thing about that make and model, when in reality, it is only because of the concentration of people who use these products that we see the bad ones.  Great to hear your good experience.

One of the first 4200's I got had a weird reflection coming off the ocular lense so I sent it back. I had a brand new scope in my hands 10 days later. That works for me.

 That's Super.

10 days is pretty darn good (I think), especially considering you had to ship your scope back.

Wow, good for you. It took them over three months to send me a replacement
Legend, and no no one returned my calls or emails to let me know what the status was.
The only email I recieved was when they told me that they were sending a replacement.
I got the replacement that same day. Great C/S.
