finally got to check one out in person
VERY impressed with it checked it out against several others including a S&B 1.5-6x42 Zenith Flashdot and a Zeiss 1.5-6x42 Diavri I was pleasantly shocked at how sharp, bright and clear the glass was on it in direct contrast to $2K scopes.. very forgiving eye position, true 1x, etc... got one coming in the Germa # 4 with the green dot should be a perfect fit for my new 16" 6.8 upper that shipped today :) yippe! hogs beware |

my first 6.8 was a 16" RRA
then I got on the 68 forums and got schooled on it got an 18" stainless from AR15, one of H's personal used barrels decided after a year I wanted a lighter one for stalk hunting I thought about cutting the barrel but it was better to just sell it mine's a 16" recon (lothar handlapped barrel and chrome lined) 11.25 twist, polygonal rifling, Troy Extreme 9" forearm and the ITS super bolt can't wait to wack some piggies with it |

Very cool. I was an early bird on his waiting list for an Xtreme and when he started getting ready to actually build the first batch he asked if I'd rather have a lapped Lother barrel for a small upcharge. I said yes but had no idea until today that I'd actually bought a Recon and not an Xtreme. I posted on 6.8 and Harrison said call it what you like but that's a Recon.

I emailed to ask if they still had the "daily special." If so, the search is over.

You guys suck, I just bought the upper, one left, now I gotta figure out how to scope it and how to scope the new 40X. I need new friends and a cheaper hobby!

I'll let you know how the Burris XTR 1-4x24 does next week. It's a 35-40 mile drive to the range and I need to wait for a couple of goodies that should be here mid week.

I can't say I've ever heard of a rifle scope described as "delicious," but I agree, the TR24 is very nice!

just commented on that thread, send me some pics of the setup. I might be interested, am kinda leaning toward the 1-4, though. I have the 3-9 and not sure I need 9X for this gun - then again, I might, haven't done anything with a 6.8 yet, can't wait to play with it.
