Actually, Husky is sold by Home Depot. Stihl can only be bought at authorized Stihl dealers that service them. Home Depot can't service Husky's.
I have an 042 AV and a 361 Stihl.  My neighbor has an XP Husqvarna. I can tell you that the XP can't touch the  Stihls I have. I am sure the forest model Huskys are better than the XP.
I have used both brands amongst many others. I looked at Husky, Jonsered and Stihl before I settled on the 361.
I say Stihl smokes Huskys all day long.Chainsaw

I have never had one of their guns or saws but I had one of their motorcycles  a 250 motocross model, very high quality and durable for that era. I would love to try one of their rifles. I think
Husqvarna  means housewares in the native language.

They make a ton of power equipment. Their bikes still do well on the WEC.
I think the old Herters folks had some Husqvarna rifles at one time.

My buddy that I used to dirt bike ride with had one. What I remember most about it was the kick start was on the wrong side of the bike.   Bucky

I would take any of those Husqvarna rifles.  They look great, and the one I have shot, shot great as well.

But a chainsaw, give me Stihl.

Keep the big fan spinning!

Nah... That was a distinct feature of Husky dirt bikes way back when. I believe they've since changed the kick start to the correct side.
