Scored a Husqvarna 30/06.I have a cell phone pic of it but it is not in hand yet ,as I still have to pick it up.Very hopefull this will be a good shooter.I think a SS 3-9 will be nice on this as long as there are no mounting hardware issues.Anyone shooting a Husqvarna?
Ill post pics when I get it

Yessirree....I love my Husqvarna. I hope you like yours. I have never thought of putting a scope on it but maybe I will try it. I think a 3-9 would be great. I will be able to tell what kind of tree it is before I get to it. Also good for scouting deer in the woods.

Bet you they made guns before they made saws or sewing machines or motorcycles.
Stihl or jonsared make superior saws anyway!

seriously,Husqvarna would be in the same class as Stihl as far as saws go.
And yes that was funny

No way! Stihl makes a much better saw than Husqvarna, but Husqvarna rifles are way better than Stihl's.
sorry, couldn't resist

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Actually I like both Stihl and Husqvarna and I own both. And I would like a Husqvarna in 6.5x55.

I owned a custom rifle, 30-06, built on Husqvarna action and barrel. It was absolutely the most beautiful rifle I have ever seen. I was offered $2000.00 for the stock, before the rifle was complete. Accuracy from the Husky was very impressive. .25MOA for the 3 rounds I fired through it, my gunsmith achieved the same (he was a former Scout Sniper). It had a jeweled bolt, Jewel trigger, muzzle brake by Magna-Port, action was blue printed and trued. QUITE a piece. My wife I traded it for my rock fireplace... I want the rifle back. If I can find a picture, I'll post. The ecopies were on a hard drive (PC) that crashed and the GEEK SQUAD stinks... they recovered NOTHING and still charged me almost $300.00.

I used to have an FN-actioned Husqvarna Super Sporter ( 1950-1954). It was a 30/06 and very accurate. Someone had glass bedded the entire stock and barrel channel and had put on a Timney Sportman's trigger. I loved it. I had a Nikon Monarch 2X7 on top of it. ( But I sold it back in 2001 or so when one of my daughter's needed money for a school trip....) Anyway.............I once had one!!! Don't sell any of them if you get your hands on one!!! Husqvarna as an excellent reputation as a bolt action gun manufacturer and commands the utmost of respect in my opinion based on all of my reading. I have been searching for one for quite sometime. Congratulations on your purchase and when you can solve your computer issues, please post some pics and maybe some targets.

!! Is the button flush or sticking out of the floorplate? I put an aftermarket floorplate release button on my military mauser action. Push the button in and move the floorplate to the rear. IT CAN BE HARD! Edited by 300S&W - July/03/2009 at 17:13 |

Yep,got it apart, push in and slidefloor plate, and floor plate comes off.It must just be for cleaning, its not a practical way to dump ammo.Thank you 300S&W. This rifle is bulit solid as hell.No stamped parts at all, every part is hunk of machined steel!this is cool!
