Wouldn't it be nice to have an affordable quality 6x32 bino with a built in range finder. Like the Vortex Viper. I know there are a few out there but the price is out of control. This would be a great way to have that nice lightweight compact bino and then have the range finder option. Can anyone make that happen? Or know of a company that is going to do that.

Yeah, absolutely man! A very good alternative is Zeiss Hensoldt 6x30. Awesome pair of binoculars for the money. They usually sell in between $100-150

Lots of people claim they would like to see good, high quality 6x3* binoculars. Many also clamor for 7x3* binoculars.
The funny thing is that such configurations almost never sell. Swaro offered a very good, optically excellent, 7x30 SLC for quite some time but, eventually discontinued them because no one would buy them. Now, people lament "Oh, if only they would bring those back..." Well, where were these people and their money when they were available? Answer: they never really wanted them in the first place (which is why they didn't buy them back then) and probably wouldn't be satisfied with them even if they could get them now. It's a classic "grass is greener" scenario. Edited by lucznik - July/01/2009 at 19:12 |

What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?
