Why dont the airgun manufacturers use scope mounts similar to the Weaver or Picatinny type where the cross bolt could serve to keep the scope mounted on the airgun, It should be more stable than the little 9.5 or11mm mts? ???

Agreed, and some of the manufacturers are addressing this issue with Weaver type rails built in. Webley, one of the old line British gun companies, recently adopted the rail. Unfortunately they also moved manufacture from England to Turkey. The reports are not good.
I have been through many mounts and I can assure you that if you get Beeman mounts, you are getting the top drawer product anywhere. These are made by Sportsmatch in England and are the finest I have ever used. They will work on an 11mm-3/8 in. dovetail. Of course you always use a stop of some design on a spring gun. They are made for RWS, Webley, Beeman and many other guns. |

BKL mounts are finally being produced again after being taken over by Airforce airguns. These are simply the best airgun mounts made. One pice construction and they don not slip, no matter what gun you put them on. I have them on all of my springers and none of them have moved since mounting.

Beeman mounts are certainly well made , but that still leaves us with very few choices or variations. Hope some of the other manu catch on and the Turks read the manual. not really familiar with the other manufacturer. rogn

I actually have a set of these on a 22 mag dovetail type reciever and they have been exceptionally good rings considering they dont cost much. Actually I'm really impressed that they work as well as they do.

Yea I agree they are stupid. The worst is the funky little base for a Benjamin Pump.

That B Square mount is a joke. They expect those 2 little screws to hold the mount and scope on the gun? I just had dovetails cut into the reciever of my modified 392 and used a BKL 254, no problem.
