I just purchased the gun and I am having trouble with the accuracy of it. I am shooting the rws super domes. I get a group of 1/2 to 3/4 inch at 35 yards occasionally, but then it will shoot a group of about 3 to 4 inches. The gun is not consistent. The scope is a leapers 3x9. Is it the pellets or does the gun need more break in ( i have fired about 300 rounds)?
Thanks.

I would look at the mounts first. Are you using a scope stop or a mount with a stop pin built in? If not the 350 definitely needs one or the other.
DO NOT use the screw at the rear of the base for a scope stop. It will bend and then break, eventually.
I have a fixed Leapers that has held up to the Diana's recoil. I don't know about the variables. http://www.opticstalk.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=9356 Budget variable scopes and heavy recoil generally don't mix well.
If you can rule out the mounts the scope is definitely suspect.
I would not worry about the pellets if you are getting good, then bad groups. I am sure it is scope or mount related.

I am using a mount with stop pins. The screws did loosen up on the mount and the rings. I tightened them and zeroed it again. Still very inconsistent. I tried the rws super points which did get a very good rating, but you were right is shot the same as with the super domes.

I have run into consistency problems from my springers before. Every time it has been because of the mounts. What mounts are you using?
Shooting 1/2 in. and then 4 in. has not ever been a pellet problem for me. The ones you are using are good shooters, too.

Well, it's the gun. I removed my scope and mounted it to my friends rws 48 and I was able to shoot a 3/4 inch pattern at 35 yards. I then put the scope back on my rws 350 and could not get better than 4 inches. I am sending it back for repair or exchange...that sucks! What kind of accuracy are you getting. Thanks.

Before you send back I'd try different pellets first. Other 350 owners had the same problem with being able to get good groups. Try Beeman FTS, JSB Jumbo Exacts, and Crosman Premiers. One of these pellets should get you a good group.

Check the screws on the gun itself.
I have a quality Beeman air rifle (1000 fps) that shot itself loose with recoil several times. This caused changes in the point of impact, and some bad groups.
I finally Locktited the screws holding the action to the stock. This solved the problem.

If it is the mount slipping, get a GOOD, one piece mount, like a BKL. Everything else is cheesy.
Being that you have a RWS 350, Diana builds their guns with barrel droop into them. This mount will work perfect for your gun.
All of my rifles have BKL 1 and 2 piece mounts on them and none have slipped since mounting them. They're not cheap mounts, but then again, like anything else in this world, you get what you pay for.
2 of my R9's, both with BKL mounts, (blue mount was custom order) both with Hawke Varmint II Mil Dot.

On this I will disagree. I have used many brands and the BKL's have good reputation among air gun shooters.
The Sportsmatch previously mentioned are an excellent mount and are more widely used by European shooters. They take their air gun shooting very seriously since firearm ownership is more restrictive in most of their countries than the U.S. The quality of machining on the Sportsmatch is of top quality and comparable to some of the best center fire mounts.
I have used some of the "cheesy" mounts, also. I won't mention brands, but some of them would surprise folks. Like center fire mounts, you generally get what you pay for.
That's a nice pair of springers, BTW.

For your RWS 350 I will say get an RWS C-mount, RWS guns have bbl droop. The C-mount is adjustable and will take care of the droop issue.
