Got out to the range today... I went from the original 66.5 to 65g.  I still was shooting at 3050fps... So I figure I will take it down to 64g to get the 2950fps I want.  Wow! this stuff is really weird... Never thought I would have to go that low...  Things that make you go hmmmmmmm....Whacko

Got another problem,  I was noticing that when I chambered my resized rounds, my bolt is stiff both in closing and opening.  I thought that this was pressure from the round but it isnt.  A factory round goes in and out without any problems.  Also, an unfired reload also goes in correctly.  I was noticing that RancidCoolaide had a similar problem with resized rounds.  I sent him a message to see if he could point me in the right direction but, right now, it appears that my dies are not sizing correctly.
Would this have anything to do with the outrageous speeds Iam getting?   Brick Hit

It could be that your die is not set correctly in that you are not pushing the shoulder back. You may be resizing the diameter of the body correctly, but the shoulder must also be pushed back for proper "headspacing".

Yup, that was the problem.  I had turned my die the wrong way and had a gap between the die and the shell holder.  This caused the shoulder, maybe the whole bullet, not to be sized correctly.  I adjusted my die, made a couple of rounds that chambered and ejected perfectly.
Should be interesting to see a chrono of the new rounds.
I feel real lucky that I did not hurt my rifle though. Snoopy
Thanks for the help!

Good info.
I too have the 300 WSM and here is my load for it.

66.5 gr IMR 4831, 180 gr accubond, norma brass, and the federal GM215 primers.
I am shooting a pretty much stock Rem 700 SPS with some minor things done to it. I am getting just about 3/4" groups at 100 yds.
I would love to see a pic of your 1/4" group. That has to be just bullet on top of bullet hole.
Good shooting man.
