I am currently looking into the purchase of a Winchester 4-12x44mm scope and want to get some feedback from someone on this...I know they are made in china and I do not care about that. I just wonder if they perform well...

They are very low-end crapola.

OK, those are simple reviews, but what is it that makes them crap? Do the optics stink, are the adjustments cheesy? Give me some details....

Winchester has nothing to do with them other than licensing their name out.  S&W tried the same thing and it did not work.  Browning is doing it too but with a quality Japan scope.

The Winchester scopes have poor optics and are mechanically challenged.  Buy optics from optics companies and guns from gun companies.
