Hi fellas,

I tracked down this forum is search of expert opinion, and sound knowledge of scopes.

I need a silver colored or stainless scope for an 1895GS. I'd like to keep it under $600, but if there is a real value above that amount I would love to hear about it.

Right now I'm leaning towards Zeiss, but I would really like to hear your opinions.

Thanks

This site doesn't get as much traffic as it used to, it seems. I would go with a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 in stainless.

Welcome aboard!!

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

The only other choice to consider besides the Conquest is a Leupold. Between a Leupold and Zeiss...... go with the Zeiss.

Not really, its just most people usually have plans  on a three day holiday weekend.   You posted Saturday night then again Sunday morning.

Anyway....The Zeiss Conquest is the best silver finish scope for the money.  What do you plan on using the gun for?

A Leupold 2.5x Silver Scout scope with XS Sight Systems Scout mount and Ghost Ring Sights would be pretty nice too.

General fun at the range and outdoor target shooting. No immediate plans to hunt with it, but it's a definite possibility in the future.
