Looking for a decent scope for my .300 win. mag. looking at the nikon prostaff 3-9 w/ bdc. Found one shipped for $129. Wondering what you guys think of this scope at this price. Also is it worth the extra $$$ to bump up to a buckmaster. Also looked at the burris ffII, and the bushnell 3200. Like the bdc reticle. Just looking for a good scope that can take the recoil, and not cost a ton, as i don't shoot the beast that much.

The Pro Staff is a decent little scope for what you pay for it. The Buck Master is a better scope though. If you really want a fantastic scope for a tad bit more..... Then the Nikon Team Primos is better than both of these. Has the BDC reticle and is a tremendous bargain through SWFA. 219.00 dollars is going to be dreadfully hard to do better for a brand new scope.

4200 may be a little short on eye relief, when compared to the Monarch, but others have them on magnum rifles and claim they are good to go.

Bushnell 4200 Elite 3-9x40 is the best buy available period for a general use scope!!!! But for the price the Nikon Pro Staff is an excellent choice.
