Hi all, I'm looking for a set of Lightweight rings for my Leupold 2x7 Ultralight Scope that I want to mount on my Ruger M77 Ultralight Rifle (.308).

Any suggestions for a quality set of rings that are lighter than the Ruger rings?

All the best and thanks!!

Hi, I looked on their site, but could you be so kind as to give a model or part number?  I can't seem to find one that will fit a M77.

Thanks so much!!

I don't believe Talley makes them for the M77.  From what I've been able to find, all after market rings for the M77 are steel like the oem rings. I'll keep searching.

If your referring to the one piece, LW Talley mount, they don't offer those in your rifles configuration, or I missed it.
The only Ruger offerings I see on Talleys site are for the 10/22's.

How about Leupold's?
If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Talley makes great lightweight rings....but they do not make them for the Ruger 77's.

Some years back, I used a set of Burris rings on a Ruger 77. They were a bit lighter than the standard Ruger stuff. Not sure how the current Burris rings compare, though.   -Al

Any of the aftermarket rings I'm familiar with are made of steel so I don't think you will save much weight with any of them. The other option is to have a good gunsmith lighten your current rings, but that might prove to be a little expensive. Further, I don't really see you making any significant weight savings for the money it would cost to go that route.

Hi all, thanks for all the kind replies.  It seems to me on second thought, the weight savings will be quite slight and thus not really worth the bother to try and find any "lightweight" rings.  I sure do appreciate the help however.  You guys are great!

All the best!

Stick with the original rings. Much cleaner.

FWIW, Warne does make mounts for that use... and they look better IMO.
