If a 4x28 scope has a "60 yard parallax correction distance setting" will it be useable at 15-25yds too?
It's a Leupold FX-I 4x28mm Rimfire scope I was thinking of mounting on a .22 I use for plinking. You can shoot up to 25yds at the range I go to. It's used mostly by pistol shooters but they allow rifle shooting to. Will there be any ill effects due to the 60yd setting? I'm trying to find a compact, fixed power scope (4x or 6x, 6 is preferred) that is 10.5' maximum with OK glass for around $200, the less expensive the better.
Thanks, mick |

Your Leupold will not give you any problems at 25 yds. I use a big game 4x with a 100 yd parallax setting and it's no problem at 25 yds, either.
