Big GrinHi all, new to this forum, seems to be a really nice place.

Anyway, I'm in the market yet again. The two lucky contestants are the Kahles 4-12X52 or the Kahles 3-10X50, both with the 4A reticle.

Looking at the poop sheets, the 4-12X52 is said to have better twilight factor and of course larger exit pupil than does the 3-10X50.

My question is... wich in your humble educated opinions gets your nods.

How do these two models compare to say... the Burris Euro Diamond 3-12X50, 3-12X56,   2.5-10X50 or the Nikon 2.5-10X56?
Thanx a bunch- Big Grin
....Did you see that?
<>< Praise GOD!

I would expect that the glass of the kahles units to be better than either the burris or the nikon.

I would look at some measurements on your rifle you want to put it on.  The 4-12 may give you a bit more mounting length to adjust for good eye relief.  They pretty much give you the same field of view.

Twilight factor is a theoretical number.  I would worry more about exit pupil than twilight factor which is negligibly different between the 10X5mm and the 12X4.5mm.  I have a 3.5-10x50 Kahles and it is a very bright scope.  However, so is my Swarovski AV 4-12x50.  Both are brighter than my Leupold's or Nikon's.
