Generally, not always, but generally a refurb is as "good as new"... sometimes better. The Nikon Monarch 4-16x42 is a very nice scope... depending on what you intend to do with it.  It is a pretty good all around, though.

Welcome aboard.

I bought me a Tikka T3 in 300wsm and the same gun in 22-250.Im not sure on what gun I should put it on.I was also wondering if I should buy the same scope for the other gun and make the guns "brother and sister".If I shouldn't buy the same 4-16-42 give me suggestions please,oh and I like the Nikon line.Thanx.

Well I have never bought a Refurbished scope, but it seems to me that a refurbished scope is probably better than a new one in the sense that it was actually looked over and tested where as the new ones are only randomly tested for problems.

Welcome to Optics Talk.

I did a half-assed review of the scope in question. Hope this helps.

I really like mine. It's an X model but a refurb. Great scope at a great price.
