I've been spending the past couple of days building a cabinet for my storing my shooting stuff and fly fishing stuff. This was my first wood project I have done by myself. Here are a couple pics:

I still have some work to do. I am going to make some molding to go around the cabinet doors and I am going to stain it with a dark oak stain. Then for the final touch I am going to cut two buckmarks to put on the cabinet doors and use a lighter stain on the buckmarks to make them stand out

If you haven't out grown it yet, you will!! Wink

Not sure everything your storing in there but it's probably best to store the the fly line, leaders, etc. else where away from the shooting stuff. They'll last longer.

Look a tad short for a rod and reel or a rifle, but it would make a fine reloading cabinet.

It wasn't built to hold rods or guns but reels, ammo, etc. is what I was thinking when I planned to build it........It could fit my fly rod if I wanted it to. Have not decided exactly what I want to put in it but I had an itch to build something and this is what I came up with

MAN LAW clearly states in Section A, subsection II, B, 3, a, iv under the "offlimits man cave" provisions that a man can never have too many cabinets and other storage space for his gear!

Here's is an update.....I still need to sand a lot of it. I still have to stain the cabinet. I am going to stain it with a dark stain and leave the buckmarks light. Here's a few pics...

Kirk, when you're finished, you need to send pics to Browning for their "show us your Buckmark" promotion.  If they publish pics of your project that includes the Buckmark, they reward you with a free firearm.

Hey Kirk that is coming along real nice, instead of light on dark switch it around ,due to the grain variance of the doors ,this way the Buckmarks will stand out more? if you need some stain and finish..........WELL! maybe I can help you out?  Shocked
