Montana Governor Signs New Gun Law

Executive Summary - The USA state of Montana has signed into power a revolutionary gun law. I mean REVOLUTIONARY. The State of Montana has defied the federal government and their gun laws. This will prompt a showdown between the federal government and the State of Montana. The federal government fears citizens owning guns. They try to curtail what types of guns they can own. The gun control laws all have one common goal - confiscation of privately owned firearms.
Montana has gone beyond drawing a line in the sand. They have challenged the Federal Government. The fed now either takes them on and risks them saying the federal agents have no right to violate their state gun laws and arrest the federal agents that try to enforce the federal firearms acts. This will be a world-class event to watch. Montana could go to voting for secession from the union, which is really throwing the gauntlet in Obama's face. If the federal government does nothing they lose face. Gotta love it.

Important Points - If guns and ammunition are manufactured inside the State of Montana for sale and use inside that state then the federal firearms laws have no applicability since the federal government only has the power to control commerce across state lines. Montana has the law on their side. Since when did the USA start following their own laws especially the constitution of the USA, the very document that empowers the USA.

This bill has passed and became law, check it out, read it for yourself. This is what all states that believe in States rights and the Bill of Rights need to do. Please send this out to your email list ASAP.

Good news, glad to see Montana holding up the constitution.

Grande Cojones!!!!!!! My applause, and envy to those that are in the Montana state government. They are to be admired, and emulated.

I hope this encourages other states to pass similar laws. If not, I can always just move back to Montana.

I'd say we need to get Governor Perry and the legislators in Austin interested in passing a similar bill for Texas.

I've been thinking of retiring there just for the good hunting, now there is another good reason.  Maybe I'll investigate to see if it would actually be a good fit for our family. I bet Montana gets trashed by the left wing network media while enjoying  support of millions of regular folks across the country. In any event, I agree with Chris, this will be a world class event to watch!

Love the idea and coodoes to the cojones packing Gov of Montana!

The only problem I see is that Montana will need its own gun manufacturing plant, from raw materials up probably.  This prevents Feds from using dirty tactics to hamstring production.  Montana will also need  bullet, powder and primer manufactures all resident in the state to really be able to thumb their noses at BamBam.

It is also interesting that they are fphasing out lead so we won't be able to cast our own bullets.

I am from Montana, in fact am one of the relatively few living here now that was born and raised here.

I doubt whether the raw materials thing will fly--especailly since Montana has a couple of U.S. senators that are also very pro-gun. In fact they led the charge against the scrapping of military brass a couple of months ago.

There are several firearms factories in Montana. We'll see what happens.

By the way, the governor and both U.S. senators are Democrats. The governor, Brian Schweitzer, had ads that featured him shooting clay birds with his shotgun (and very well). The ads were about another Montana defiance of federal "mandates" for a national ID card, which was supposedly going to be required for airline travel. He caled BS on that one too.

Montana is a great place to live if you can stand the winters and the low average income, which runs around $25,000 a year.

I believe Alaska also has similar legislation in the works.  There was an AP article about a month or so ago.
