Super Sniper or U.S.O is probably the way to go with the 50 .

Apex can't seem to follow the rules he agreed to follow by signing up.
(Guess you didn't take time to read the nasty PM I sent you last time you pulled this sh*t, huh?)

Agreed!
And, to add to: Do NOT buy a Barska! It'd be smarter to take an old paper-towel tube, pain it black, and top the rifle with that - and it will save you a little money.
50s are notoriously tough on scopes, do not buy a bargain scope. Nightforce will work well and will do everything you need. For now, buy the SS. And the badger Max 50 rings.

Go with either a 10x or 16x Super Sniper and you will have one that will last a lifetime. 50BMG is painfully expensive to scope just get used to the idea of a fixed power and live with it. By the time you put some Badger Ordnance Max 50 rings and a SS on you are at that $500 buck limit. There is nothing better in that price range. Even the best built varialbes may not live through a 50.

So I am trying to save some money here still for ammo...
What is the best bang for your buck for a scope on a .50 BMG? I know its not the gun to cut corners on with optics, so I am wondering who makes the best scope, for the price, with the least compromises, and a good warrenty. Will eventually like to get a NightForce on it. Was considering a Mk4 as well. Had a few people suggest the Barska Tactical 6-24X60 Mil Dot but question its durability. Thought about a Super Sniper as well but dont really want a fixed power scope. Would be awesome to find something nice that goes to at least 18X under $500 but I am thinking it ain't happening. So is there a get-me-by scope I can use on a .50 til I can afford a NF next year? Joe |
