If I was to buy the Leupold mark 4 rings, would they be high enough for SS10x42 with 30mm tube?  Or get Warne rings?  I  am trying to get away from buying a riser and rings?  Or maybe that is better way to go?  Info. would be appreciated.  Thanks

If you have a fixed front sight you have to get over. You will need super high rings. No front sight the highs will be high enough to get above the hand guard. The mark 4's are available in super high. Or you could get the riser and the medium Mark 4 rings. Would be cheaper to just get the rings.

What style of AR will the be on? What type of stock is on it? Is it a flat top or is it a fixed carry handle (A2) Is there a fixed standard front sight?

If you raise the rings too high you will need to add a cheek piece to get proper cheek to stock weld.

Always attempt to keep the scope as low to the bore as possible. If you need to swap out a front sight for a low profile or 4 rail gas block (what I would recommend) email me & I will walk you through it. It is very easy to do, only takes about 10 min, and some basic hand tools.

Leupold, ARMS, & IOR all make excellent 30mm rings that will mount directly to a flat top. If you want to run the best get a set of Badger Ord rings they will last the lifetime of the rifle.

Warne 204LM rings were designed to put your cheek in the proper place on the stock

and have your eye alignment correct. I have this set up on 3 of my own flat tops. These

rings are the ultra high and are quick detach.
