Hi guys
I have the Mark 4 Tactical with target knobs and caps. Can I operate without the caps and is that as weatherproof/durable as the M1 knobs?

You can operate it without the caps if you want, but I don't think they're as impervious to weather as the M1's. I think you'd like the format on the M1's better anyway.

Obviously the caps provide a lot of protection on the M3 type knobs but you can of course work with them off - how else would you use them.

Here is the Leupold answer:
The Target style elevation turrets are both weatherproof and waterproof to 10 feet. Thank you. Charlie Sunderlin |
