Nope lol but we have to deal with other problems (just think Viva). It can get pretty crazy there. That range only goes to 200 as well.

Thanks, Looney.  I'll have to give that a try. I happened across this camo cloth stuff as a quick fix, and it worked pretty well. I forget what it's called, but it's a stretchy, clingy cloth that adheres to itself, but doesn't leave a sticky film on anything else.  It's about the same as Vet-Wrap, which veterinarians use to bandage horses legs and stuff. I imagine they use it in hospitals these days too. I got mine at Gander Mountain.

Yeah I have thought of that stuff for my nice wood stocks they get a beating sometimes!  oh and that Lacquer do 3 or 4 light coats. Don't know where you live but around here in Cal you can only get it at paint stores not hardware places, give a try and good luck!

Thanks RONK.  In your opinion, is the SS overkill for a .22?  A better question would be, if you had a SS on a P-dog gun but wanted to use it on a .22 from time to time, would you feel at a disadvantage given your review?

Thanks for taking a look at it Ted.
I certainly didn't fire any one-holers in the wind that day, but after cranking it all around that big sheet of paper, dialing up and down through 40 minutes of elevation and windage, and having the very last group cloverleaf several of the very first shots of the day, and punch the stick pin, I felt really good about this scope!

You know John, I had never really considered it at all appropriate for a .22 and only put it on mine for the reasons mentioned in the review. Now, I'm thinking it would be a great .22 scope for a lot of uses. One reason is because it focuses down to up-close ranges so nice and crisply. I know most SS users favor the rear focus, but it's real easy to like the side knob, too.
It has a fairly fine crosshair at the center, which also makes it really nice to hone in on small targets. The only downside for use on a target -type rimfire that I can think of is its relatively large size may overwhelm a lot of small sporters.
I'd like to leave it on mine and take it squirrel hunting next fall. I bet they'd drop like acorns!

Thanks Ronk.  I had wondered about that and I appreciate your answer.  Now I think once I have some time I might have to give one of those beauties a whirl.  Thanks again for the review.
