thank you all who participated in the "assist"---i have received my vortex razor 8.5x50s---your shared knowledge allowed me to purchase a fine pair of binoculars tailored well for my needs---good price, very smooth in operation, feel good in my hands, no problem with eyeglasses, and they are fairly easy for me to stay on the object of interest---great selection---i must admit i am impressed by the technology---my last binoculars belonged to my father (bushnell 7x35)---he bought them new in 1950---Wink

Glad you like them, bunkerdog.  The Razors are great binoculars!

JB,
How would you rate the Vortex Razors compared to the Zen-Ray EDs?

JB

If you are interested, I'll let you use my ZEN ED 8x43 for a couple of weeks.  PM me contact info if you are.  I'll ship them to you on my nickel, you ship back on yours.  These things really need to be seen.

Personally I think the ZEN image is a little better than the Razor.  The Razor might get the nod for a little better build and better eyecup design.

I appreciate the confidence in the Zen Ray brand. That's what I wanted to know. I am going hunting in 2 months and I didn't know whether to go for a pair of Zen Rays or spend a little more. I have pair of Zeiss from the 70s that is had to beat but I want more then a 7 X now. I thought I'd go for the 10X. At my age I won't live long enough to wear them out.
If they have good optics I'll be satisfied.

Klamath,

How can I turn down a generous offer like that? Actually, I'll pay the postage both ways. I'll PM you with where to send them. Thanks!
