If you get that all acomplished throw me a PM.  I am in for a lasermax, mount and Trijicon.  Not sure I can spend for green and top-line Trijicon but we will see what the costs are.

We have been working with green lasers at Black & Decker for about a year now.  They definitely show up better and shoot farther than red lasers.   Most green laser are secondary emission lasers.  This means they use a different color laser (usually IR) to excite crystals that give off green light.  They have to be alot hotter than the reds to get sufficient secondary emission strength.  That makes them battery hogs, short lived and alot more sensitive to mechanical shock.  WE use them in laser levels, Line generators and surveying equipment cause they have about twice the range of red ones for rated output power.  For mounting on guns I would be very worried about shock survivability.  I would recomend holding off on the greenies for a while...you don't what to tbe the final QC for the OEMs

My eyes are horrible, so the fact that it is easier to see is quite enticing.  The battery hog and sensitivity are good to know though.  Thanks for posting that.

I am thinking of getting the cheaper red and spending a bit more on the trijicon.

I was looking over the Trijicons.  What the heck is MOA?

It says "reticule pattern 4.0 MOA Dot"

what the heck is that?  I see 8 MOA, 13 MOA.  Is that brightness?  Is that size of the dot?  What is it?

Does it equate to "what you see" like this below?  It doesn't connect the two... but is this right?

4 MOA?

8 MOA?

13 MOA?

Yes, it's the size of the dot.  MOA = minute of angle = 1/60th of a degree.  1 MOA subtends 1.047" at 100 yards.  Until you get to super long range, for all practical purposes, you can pretty much consider 1 MOA as 1" @ 100 yds, 2" @ 200 yds, 3" @ 300, etc.  So, the 4 MOA dot would cover up slightly over 4" at 100 yards.

Could not shoot for s--- with old eyes and handgun iron sights. Put a crimson trace on my old airweight Chiefs Special 38 special and M329 44 magnum. Can shoot from any position within 15 yards and hit the 12" gong at our range every time. The free DVD you can get from Crimson trace, show some incredible shooting, especially the applications where you do not have to expose yourself to engage the bad guy. They are now bringing out one for the Tarus "Judge"....that would really light up a courtroom!

It has been 10 days.  Anything new to add.  Has lasermax been added at SWFA?

Not yet, the process takes a little while.  When we get them added they will be listed under the laser section.

I don't see a part number.  I was thinking the Uni-green:

or perhaps the red:

Can you PM a price... or just post it here?
