hi all I called to order my scopr this morning,no one has it in stock :( The dealer where I bought my rifle has a Sightron SIII 3.5 10 44 with Mil Dot   how would it work as a hunting scope

What were you trying to order?  I'm not a fan of mil-dots for a dedicated hunting rifle.

The newer SIII is said to be the best optics coming from Japan.The S3 has a 30mm tube the scope your interested in is very popular in the Law enforcement community.It should work for hunting I have a 3-12 S2 MD on an AR-15 and shot deer out 200 yards accurately.

best scope made in japan and best scope for the mony, compares to much high dollar scopes at a fraction of price

this was a old model  before they upgraded
